Jennifer Reich graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Commerce and Art History and Syracuse University with an MA in Museum Studies.
Jennifer has been at UNCG since August 2006, working first in the College of Arts & Sciences Advising Center, and then joining the College of Visual & Performing Arts upon its inception in August 2016. To be honest, Jennifer never knew she would end up in academic advising, but it’s pretty perfect. Students begin college excited (and slightly nervous) about the possibilities of a new kind of education. But nearly all students stumble slightly, whether it’s a poor grade on an assignment, problems dealing with their newfound independence, or issues with roommates and living situations. Working with students to harness that initial energy and tackle the challenges that they are facing is an exercise in problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and potential. Partnering with students to help them reach their goals is endlessly rewarding.
