Chelsea Hilding is an MFA student and Graduate Teaching Associate in the School of Dance at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She is a recipient of the CVPA 2020 summer research stipend, which has allowed her to deepen her research on inclusivity in ballet pedagogy. She is the former owner and founder of Screen Door Dance Room, a dance studio for adults ranging from beginners to professionals in Jacksonville, Florida where she was also a company dancer for Jacksonville Dance Theatre.  She has taught and choreographed for studios including Dance Project at Greensboro Cultural Center, Abella’s School of Dance, the St. Augustine Ballet, Ballet Arts Centre, and was Artistic Director for Braided Light Dance Project. She is a certified Pilates instructor through Balanced Body University, an RYT-200 yoga instructor, and is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique.
