Amanda (Mandi) Moore

Amanda (Mandi) Moore is a choreographer, performer, educator, and collaborator. She received her Masters of Fine Arts in Dance from UNCG in 2018. She has taught at various universities, including North Carolina State University, Elon University, and The University of North Carolina Greensboro. Currently, Mandi is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Stephen F. Austin State University. Since starting at SFASU, she has created choreography for the SFA Repertory Dance Company and for her own company, Moore Dance Works. She has also choreographed for various events and festivals in collaboration with her colleagues. As a choreographer, she researches and creates choreographic work focused on various brain functions and the effects of psychological experiences. Her work draws from jazz, contemporary dance, technology, and acrobatics. Along with educating and choreographing, Mandi is a co-advisor for the dance departments honors society, Chi Tau Epsilon (XTE) Omicron Chapter, as well as various organizations at SFASU. She is also involved in research ondance injuries in collaboration with the Kinesiology department.
