Dear CVPA graduates:

This month we are honoring you—the Class of 2021—and your significant artistic and academic achievements. The College of Visual and Performing Arts’ faculty and staff are extremely proud of everything that you have accomplished during your time at the “G.” Our College will be participating in three commencement ceremonies at the Greensboro Coliseum, and we look forward to honoring your achievements in all of our disciplines: art, arts administration, dance, music, and theatre.

In this microsite, you’ll find your names and degrees in a full-page color ad that will run in the News & Record on Thursday, May 6th. Your names and degrees on the electronic signs at McIver and West Market Streets by the Music Building and on Tate Street in front of Taylor Theatre. Please read the commencement profiles, check out the congratulatory videos, and take the graduation survey about your future plans! We salute your achievements as well as your perseverance during the pandemic.

This month our College will confer 58 graduate degrees, including terminal MFA degrees in art, dance, and theatre, and the DMA and PhD degrees in music. In addition, we’ll be granting 185 undergraduate degrees. Fourteen of you double majored in such subjects as Classical Studies; Communication Studies; English; Kinesiology; Language, Literature, and Cultures; and Sociology. To each member of CVPA’s Class of 2021, I congratulate you and say Bravo, Well done, and Go make your mark!
