DESCRIPTION:Officially known as a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance with a concentration in Popular Music and Technology\, the program offers students the chance to develop as performers\, singer-songwriters\, producers\, beat-makers\, and composers\, all while strengthening their skills and knowledge in working with music technology. The PopTech program is at the forefront of initiatives across the country that welcome young musicians to university music studies from fields like hip-hop\, rap\, R&B\, pop\, rock\, film/video/gaming music\, and more. These student musicians are serious about their work\, and they are very good at it! Doshi for more than 30 years as per the Guru Shishya Parampara representing the artistic excellence of “Maihar Gharana”. Gaurang has performed in prestigious concerts in India\, U.K. and the USA. Details about Gaurang’s work can be found on his website sarodsitar.com. \n\n\n\n\n\nRagavan Lutchmidat\n\n\n\nRaised in New York City\, Ragavan learned Tabla under the guidance of Shree Kinnar Kumar Seen and now renowned Tabla composer Pandit Divyang Vakil. Ragavan lives in Charlotte and has performed at NYC Symphony Space Hall\, Knight Theater\, Belk Theater along with other various venues. \n\n\n\n\n\nAmrita Biswas\n\n\n\nAmrita started her vocal music training started at an early age of 3 yrs from her aunt Smt. Maya De. She earned her Visharad (Bachelor in Music) Degree from the University of Khairagarh and learned from Mr. Pradip Biswas and Mr. Ratan Basak.
