With no singular theme\, this event invites a rich tapestry of artistic expressions\, reflecting the varied concentrations and mediums embraced by our student artists. \n\n\n\nOur aim is to demystify the gallery experience and make it more accessible to all members of our community. We believe that art thrives in environments where creativity is encouraged and shared. By opening our space to a wide range of artistic endeavors\, we hope to foster connection\, inspire collaboration\, and highlight the unique voices within The Artist’s Guild. \n\n\n\nJoin us as we celebrate the vibrant spectrum of student artistry and create a welcoming environment where everyone can engage with and appreciate the creativity that surrounds us. \n\n\n\nMore About The Artists’ Guild (TAG) \n\n\n\nThe Artist’s Guild is a vibrant community of student artists at UNCG\, dedicated to fostering creativity\, collaboration\, and connection. Our mission is to provide a supportive space where artists of all backgrounds and disciplines can explore their creativity\, share their work\, and engage with one another. \n\n\n\nAs a student voice\, we advocate for increased funding\, special events\, and partnerships with local organizations to strengthen the relationship between UNCG students and the artistic Greensboro community. SUMMARY:Ana Luque Fernandez\, violin
DESCRIPTION:Download Program\n\n\n\n\nBorn in Granada (Spain)\, Ana Luque Fernandez holds degrees in violin and chamber music from Granada and Murcia Conservatories in Spain. Ana also graduated from the Louisiana State University in the USA as a Master of Music in Violin Performance (1996) and as a Doctor of Musical Arts (2002).   \n\n\n\nHer main teachers have been Joaquín Palomares\, Camilla Wicks\, and Kevork Mardirossian\, having also received advice from Danuta Glowacka\, Dennis Parker\, Yair Kless\, Fredell Lack\, and Yfrah Neaman\, among others.  \n\n\n\nShe has held orchestra positions in the Murcia Chamber Orchestra (1989-1991) and the Murcia Symphony Orchestra (1991-1993) in Spain\, and the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra (1994-2000) in the USA. Since 1993\, she plays regularly with the Granada Symphony Orchestra (OCG).  \n\n\n\nAna has been a founding member of the Atlántico String Quartet and Carezzévole Piano Trío\, and collaborates with many other chamber music projects having performed in the USA\, Spain\, Finland\, Colombia and Morocco.  \n\n\n\nShe is the author of the monograph The Works of Manuel Quiroga: A Catalogue (Louisiana State University\, USA 2002)\, the book The Music of Manuel Quiroga Losada (VDM-Verlag\, 2009)  and the article Catalogación y Revisión de la Producción Musical de Manuel Quiroga Losada (1r Congrés Internacional Investigació en Música\, Valencia\, 2010).  \n\n\n\nAlso\, she has been professor at the string summer courses “Música y Naturaleza” (2000-2006) and Da Capo Strings School (2011-2019). Moreover\, she has been guest instructor at different conservatories in Spain and international institutions such as: I Barenboim-Said Foundation´s Master of Orchestral Studies (Seville\, Spain\, 2008); III International String Academy (Pereira\, Colombia\, 2012); and Jacobs School of Music (Bloomington-Indiana\, USA\, 2013).   \n\n\n\nAna has been tenure violin professor in Seville´s Conservatory “Francisco Guerrero” (2000-2002)\, Granada´s Conservatory “Angel Barrios” (2002-2006)\, and in Granada´s Real Conservatorio Superior “Victoria Eugenia” since 2006.
