DESCRIPTION:UNCG BIG PRINT: \n\n\n\nSteamroller Block Party  \n\n\n\n\nExhibition by UNCG Students\, Faculty\, and Printmaking Community \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nSeptember 3 – 7\, 2024\n\n\n\nReception: Wednesday September 4th | 5-7p\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMore About UNCG BIG PRINT  \n\n\n\nAt the first annual UNCG Steamroller Big Block Prints event\, a team of printmaking students and faculty from around North Carolina joined together to help print giant 4’x6′ relief carved woodblocks\, using a steamroller as our portable printing press! SUMMARY:Brandy Clark
DESCRIPTION:Brandy Clark\n\n\n\nA GRAMMY- and CMA-winner\, Brandy Clark is one of her generation’s most esteemed songwriters and musicians. Amid yet another landmark year\, Clark won Best Americana Performance at this year’s 66th GRAMMY Awards for her song “Dear Insecurity\,” featuring eleven-time GRAMMY-winner Brandi Carlile —Clark’s first GRAMMY win. With the show\, she won Outstanding Music at the 67th Drama Desk Awards and was nominated for Best Original Score at the 76th Tony Awards\, with Shucked receiving nine Tony nominations overall last year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition to public presentations\, artists in the UCLS series have important interactions with UNCG students\, such as holding masterclasses\, talkback sessions\, and seminars\, often just hours before performing on stage. Thanks to a grant from The Cemala Foundation\, some of these artists also work with K-12 students in the Guilford County Schools.
