Nadine "Dede" Farrell
Theatre - Paint/Props Manager
DeDe Farrell is the Prop and Paint Shop Manager for the Department of Theatre at UNCG. Originally from Illinois, DeDe received her BFA in Scenic Design from the University of Illinois- Urbana/Champaign in 2003. After working as a prop artisan for Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, she went on to complete her MFA in Stage Properties from the University of North Carolina-School of the Arts in 2011. DeDe has worked all over the country as a prop artisan, scenic artist and designer for companies like the Utah Shakespearean Festival, Monomoy Theatre, High Point Ballet, and Piedmont Opera. She is thrilled to be here in Greensboro, where as it turns out, her paternal family history can be traced back to the early 1700s. She is enjoying her home in Lindley Park with her partner Katy and their three Boston Terriers: Dexter, Weezy, and Arnie.
