Amanda Hughes is Director of Undergraduate Advising at the UNCG College of Visual and Performing Arts. Mrs. Hughes works directly with prospective, incoming, and current Undergraduate music students on major exploration and selection, curriculum and program requirements, course registration, study abroad opportunities, and balancing college life and responsibilities. She is also excited to work with students to discuss opportunities for careers in the performing arts and graduate school.

Mrs. Hughes serves on the UNCG Advising Council; Enrollment Planning Committee; CVPA Curriculum Committee; CVPA Recruitment Enrollment, and Retention Committee; Co-Chair of the Information Resources Committee of the Staff Senate; Spartan Spirit Rising Committee, Orientation Planning Committee, and Commencement Planning Committee. She is also a SafeZone Ally SafeZone Ally and VETS Ally.

Mrs. Hughes holds a Master of Music in Music Education degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Master of Science in Academic Advising degree and Graduate Certificate in Academic Advising from Kansas State University, and Bachelor of Music in Music Education (K-12) degree with a flute principal from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
