Sophie Wang

Sophie Wang is an active concert artist and pedagogue. Recent engagements include a lecture-recital and masterclass in Novi Sad, Serbia in 2018, as well as her Carnegie Hall solo debut in May 2016. Other notable appearances include her European debut at the Internationaler Musiksommer auf Kulturverein-Schloss Rosenegg in Austria in 2011, shortly after her critically-acclaimed Taipei recital in 2010. Duo Montagnard

Duo Montagnard was formed in 2002 and has performed over 300 concerts in 49 states, eight Canadian provinces, and twenty countries on six continents. Festival performances include the Chautauqua Institution, Scandinavian Saxophone Festival, Hartwick College Summer Music Festival, North-West University New Music Week (South Africa), UNC-Wilmington New Music for Guitar and Saxophone Festival, Radford University International Guitar Festival, and the Alexandria Guitar Festival. The duo has commissioned, premiered and recorded more than twenty works for guitar and saxophone.

High School Piano and Organ Day is scheduled for Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at UNCG. Keyboard faculty from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro will offer master classes to high school piano and organ students during the thirteenth annual iteration of the event.
