Music for Love • Jazz Ensemble I
The UNCG School of Music Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program is teaming up with the Greensboro-based foundation Music for Love to present a fundraising concert for student musician scholarships. The concert will feature Jazz Ensemble I performing both traditional and contemporary big band music from the albums "Music for Love, Volume 1" and "Ovision" by various artists.

Jazz Ensemble II returns to The Crown at The Carolina Theatre, bringing along its unique and passionate brand of big band jazz. Directed by Chad Eby, this powerhouse student group will present music by some of the most compelling composers in the history of jazz music, plus a few surprises! Tim Warfield, saxophone with UNCG Jazz Ensemble I Tim Warfield, Jr., a native of York, Pennsylvania, began studying the alto saxophone at age nine. He switched to tenor saxophone during his first year at William Penn Sr. High School where he participated in various musical ensembles and won many jazz soloist awards, including second out of forty competitors at the Montréal Festival of Music.
