The performing arts events will be presented in the UNC Greensboro Auditorium. Art Showcase, the state visual arts competition, will be presented in the Maud Gatewood Studio Arts Building.

This partnership will provide additional opportunities for students interested in continuing their arts education following high school. Students will be able to tour campus, meet with current students and faculty, schedule interviews and auditions, and even make their live performance part of the audition process.

NCASA Executive Director Leon Pfeiffer said, “We’re excited to be able to give middle and high school students the opportunity to perform in world-class facilities and get a taste of what life is like on a college campus with such strong performing and visual arts programs.”

CVPA Dean bruce d. mcclung says the partnership will help  increase the College’s reach to students of all ages: “UNC Greensboro’s College of Visual and Performing Arts is the largest and most comprehensive set of arts programs in the UNC system, creating an indispensable arts experience for all citizens of North Carolina and the Southeast. Our Schools of Art, Dance, Music, and Theatre transform lives by providing exceptional artistic and scholarly experiences for our students and their communities. We are pleased to expand our activities with and for K-12 schools and students through this new partnership with NCASA.”

NCASA will also partner with UNC Greensboro to present the Metrographics Printing North Carolina Showcase on May 14, 2022 in the UNC Greensboro Auditorium.
